Listening Comprehension untuk Bahasa Inggris SMK

Selamat datang kembali di blog kami, pada kesempatan ini kami ingin membahas materi pelajaran bahasa Inggris SMK khusus untuk materi Listening. Pada soal listening dalam Ujian biasanya terdiri dari empat bagian ( Four parts) yaitu part I  ( Photograph), part II ( Questions Response), part III ( Short Conversation), part IV (Short Talk). Nah, yang ingin kami bahas pada kesempatan ini adalah untuk yang bagian pertama ( photograph).

Pada bagian pertama ini, biasanya akan menjelaskan gambar ( describing pictures) dan mendengar empat pernyataan pendek, disini ada beberapa point yang harus diperhatikan antara lain:

Determining an activity of the picture

     

       There are three points for describing a picture:

• Who do the activity?                                           refer to person/ people
• What kind of activities the person does?            refer to verbs
• Where the persons do the activity?                     refer to position and location

** Ada beberapa tips dan strategi yang bisa dilakukan untuk menjawab soal listening pada bagian pertama ini antara lain: 

• Pastikan anda tahu tipe- tipe pertanyaan ; Subjects- Questions, Wh-/ How Questions, dan Yes- No Questions.
• Seperti kita ketahui bahwa dalam Photos of People, bila gambarnya berupa gambar orang atau beberapa orang, maka perhatikan beberapa aspek dalam setiap gambar yang mencakup; mereka sedang mengerjakan apa? What are they doing?, mereka dimana? Where are they?, Mereka siapa? Who are they?, Ciri- ciri orangnya? What are the characteristics of the people?, sedang terjadi apa disini? what's happening?
• Ketika gambarnya berupa gambar suatu benda atau objek, maka perhatikan juga setiap aspek dalam gambar tersebut seperti ; Itu gambar apa? What picture is it?, Dimana gambar tersebut? where is it? dan lain sebagainya

Sekarang langsung saja ke beberapa contoh soal listening bagian pertama ( Photograph). Pada beberapa soal latihan di bawah ini masih terdapat script listening di samping gambarnya karena hanya sebagai latihan saja.

Directions:

For each question in this part, you will hear four statements about a  picture in your test book. When you hear the statements, you must selest the one statement that best describes what you see in the picture. Then find the number of the question on your answer sheet and mark your answer. The statement will not printed in your test book and will spoken twice.
